\nProfile<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\nPantelis Barouchas<\/strong> is an\u00a0 professor at the University of Patras, Greece, with an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Soil Science.<\/p>\nHis research focuses on soil genesis and problematic soils, focusing on heavy metal uptake by plants and non-destructive techniques for soil testing analysis. His research work includes publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He has over 100 publications and contributions to scientific journals, conferences, technical reports, books, and patents.<\/p>\n
He has been a project manager and participated in more than 20 research and development projects in soil management for agricultural production, land reclamation, and agricultural engineering (ETCP GR-IT 2007\u20132013 IRMA project, FP7 EUROLEGUME; EPAN II 2007\u20132013, AGROTRACE; Western Greece RIS3 Programme 2014\u20132020, SOILSYS, HYDRERO, OPORA, SquashHydr; ETCP GR-IT 2014\u20132020, TAGs, IR2MA project; Interreg-IPA CBC GR-AL 2014\u20132020, OLIVE_CULTURE; EPAnEK 2014\u20132020, ARETHOU5A; etc.).<\/p>\n
He was a member and treasurer of the Board of the Hellenic Soil Society. He is the President of the Scientific Council of the Agri-Food Partnership of the Region of Western Greece and the scientific manager of the Soil Laboratory of the Region of Western Greece.<\/p>\n
