The educational activities of the Laboratory concern the teaching of General Biology, Plant Morphology & Anatomy, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.

Research Activity

The research activity of the Laboratory mainly focuses on the following areas:

Plant stress physiology: effect of abiotic (e.g. mechanical injury, light, etc) and biotic stresses (e.g. presence of nematodes in the root system) a) on physiological parameters such as photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance and b ) in the concentration of pigments in the leaves (photosynthetic pigments and anthocyanins).
Biochemistry and Oxidative Stress in plants: effect of environmental factors and cultivation practices on oxidative stress in plants, through methods to assess cell damage and plant antioxidant defense.
