Agricultural residual biomass has the potential to adsorb environmental pollutants either with minimal mechanical processing of the raw materials or to play the role of precursor for the production of active bio-carbons and bio-chars materials.
Research interests
The main research objects of the laboratory are:
- Creation of adsorbent materials
- Study of competitive adsorption to inactivate xenobiotic pollutants such as pesticides and antibiotics in the environment
- Production of raw materials for the production of pharmaceutical products for agricultural and human use
- Modification of agricultural residues as soil improvers
- Production of biofuels
